WELCOME TO CARTERSVILLE
"History comes alive in Cartersville with museums, restored Victorian-era homes, and a vibrant shopping and dining district downtown." -visitcartersvillega.org
This Bartow county seat was originally settled 1838-1839 in anticipation of construction of the Western Atlantic Railroad. Today this northwest metro Atlanta suburb has it all history, shopping, and entertainment. With plentiful outdoor recreation, dining, and entertainment makes Cartersville a choice location for families and, located 44 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, makes it a great choice for young professionals.
Historic preservation is of prime importance. Beautifully restored Victorian era homes grace the streets of Cartersville's historic district side by side with pre-war estates. Museums, shopping, and entertainment all nod to the history and charm of this small-ish suburb of Atlanta.
