This Bartow county seat was originally settled 1838-1839 in anticipation of construction of the Western Atlantic Railroad. Today this northwest metro Atlanta suburb has it all history, shopping, and entertainment. With plentiful outdoor recreation, dining, and entertainment makes Cartersville a choice location for families and,  located 44 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, makes it a great choice for young professionals.
